Best Boarding

When you went to boarding school many years ago there weren’t so many to choose from – your parents looked at a short list and chose one based on affordability and proximity. Today, however, there are many boarding schools in England and when parents decide to enroll their children they often find themselves facing many options – how can they know the best boarding schools from the rest? There are certain things that the best boarding schools have in common:
•    They excel academically every year. If you look at their records you will find that each sixth form graduating class has a majority of students joining good institutions of higher learning. Most students are able to get the required grades the first time they sit their exams.
•    Good boarding schools are very keen on discipline. They do not tolerate students who continually break the rules. They will insist that each and every student toe the line at all times and there are high levels of supervision.
•    Good boarding schools provide excellent boarding quarters for their students. They ensure that each student has a comfortable bed, that they eat a balanced diet every day and they are able to do their laundry and shower with ease.
•    Good boarding schools will not entertain bullies – students who bully others are dealt with in an appropriate manner so that others can feel safe. They will also not entertain drug and alcohol use.
•    A good boarding school is in touch with parents regarding the progress of their child. You will be called in for a meeting at least once a term and in case of any problems you will be made aware.
Try the Cambridge Centre for Sixth Form Studies – it offers all these things and more. You can find out more on https://www.ccss.co.uk/boarding/.
